You are currently 26 weeks pregnant
What is going on with your baby during week 26?

Your baby now acquires a special layer of fat which acts as an insulator, keeping baby warm in the weeks after birth. This fat known as 'brown fat' because of its color is found at the neck area, around the kidneys and behind the breastbone. It is a special kind of fat meant to keep baby warm and is found in both newborn babies and hibernating animals. Baby's weight is about 2 pounds (900g) and measures at 9¼ inches (23cm).
