Baby Cereal Recipes for Babies 6 Months Up

Gluten-free cereals such as rice, brown rice, oats, and barley make good weaning foods and are advisable at this early stage where allergy can be a concern. Wheat should be introduced last, after your baby has shown tolerance to all other cereals. Instant infant cereals with fruit have higher sugar content so its best to mix in home prepared fruits to these iron-fortified cereals. Since there is a barrage of information on food allergy out there, and not necessarily in agreement with each other, it is advisable to take the middle ground that suits you and your baby.
