How do you go about freezing and storing homemade food?

For convenience many mothers prepare food in bulk and store for later use. Prepare a variety of pureed foods and then store them and defrost according to the combination you have in mind for your baby. You may keep the food in ice-cube trays or small plastic containers. You will need to sterilize the ice trays/containers by pouring boiling water over it first. Once frozen you can transfer the cubes into freezer bags or containers and label the contents and date them. For larger quantities you may store them in larger containers. Use a blunt knife to remove the cubes from the tray. To avoid cracking the container, run the lidded container under warm water first. Remember to keep the frozen food down from the freezer to the fridge one day before use.
