My baby wants the 'junk' food other family members eat, how can I avoid this habit from developing?

On special occasions, it is okay to offer your little one some goodies such as crisps, cookie or cake, especially when everyone else is having them too. Generally however it is important to make the whole family eat healthy snacks. Though this is quite difficult but it can be done. Look out for healthier versions of treats such as whole meal biscuits, yogurts or yogurt-coated dry fruits, miniature cheese or even fruit juice. Shop wisely and store foods you want your family to eat. Stocking up cupboards with unhealthy snacks is only going to promote this habit of eating junk food. Children when hungry will eat what is available to them, and in a matter of time this translates to healthy snacking. Siblings have a great impact on babies and your baby will copy what his siblings are having.
