What other foods can be given once baby has adjusted to rice cereal?

After purees and rice cereals, you may vary your baby's palate and make her diet more exciting by introducing more texture and taste. But for starters stick to fruit and vegetable purees and get your baby used to simple predictable recipes. When you experiment you will find interesting combinations that work well with your baby - try and see what works well with your child. Mixing foods can help your baby eat foods she has resisted before. For example if she doesn't quite like a particular vegetable, you can stir in pureed fruit, or yogurt or spreadable cream cheese to make it more palatable. Other tried and tested combinations include apple and pear, avocado and banana, papaya and mango. Alternatively you can blend in fruit or vegetable purees to rice cereal.
