Why do some babies vomit?

Some babies vomit because of an oversensitive gag reflex. This problem can be lessened with time when you persevere with feeding your baby solids. With a severe problem however it is best to get help from an expert. Fortunately babies are quite unaffected by these vomiting episodes. However there are some trigger factors that almost always seem to get vomiting on the way with a sensitive baby and these are when baby stuffs too much food at the same time into her mouth, when baby puts her fingers in her mouth along with the food and when baby is eating slimy or stringy foods such as mashed bean or banana. Babies can also vomit when they cry too much during a meal. With accidental vomiting, you need to offer your baby some water, clear up, and after a few minutes continue with the feed.
