Nutritious Vegetable Purees for Babies 5 Months Up
Vegetables may not be as popular with your child as fruits,
or so you may feel. This is to do with the sweetness factor,
as babies are most familiar with this taste. Peas, pumpkin
are some vegetables which are not only sweet-tasting but also
contain essential vitamins. A little cooking is essential
to soften the vegetable to achieve a pulpy texture. Steaming
is a good method of cooking your veggies as much of the nutrients
stays intact. Do not be afraid to try mixing vegetables or
fruits to create a medley or even fruits with vegetables though
this may sound weird! Continue to experiment and feed your
baby vegetables and fruits but vary it by combining 2-3 vegetables
and changing the texture as you go along.
